Coco Bongo is not a normal club — it's a show. Acrobats flying over the dance floor, international artist impersonators, confetti, foam, lights and non-stop music. Open bar included. The kind of night you remember for years. Located on Avenida 10 at Calle 12, in the heart of PDC's club zone.
There are two versions: standard admission with domestic open bar, and the Gold package with VIP area, premium bar and personalized table service. For large groups or those who want the full experience, Gold is worth it.
- Unique show — acrobats, impersonators, confetti
- Open bar included with admission
- Constant security — escorts you to the bathroom if needed
- Very festive international vibe
- Book online in advance for best price
- Higher price than other clubs
- Very crowded — especially on weekends
- Not the place for a quiet conversation
Clandestino is the favorite spot of PDC residents and digital nomads. A rooftop on 5th Avenue at Calle 10 — perfect city views, music mixing commercial hits with electronic, theater, shows and go-go dancers. The vibe is more relaxed than Coco Bongo or Mandala — less forced, more natural. Considered by many locals as the best nightspot in PDC.
- Locals' favorite — less touristy than the big clubs
- Unbeatable views from the 5th Ave rooftop
- Unique mix of music, theater and shows
- More accessible price than Coco Bongo
- More authentic and less crowded vibe
- No air conditioning — can get hot in high season
- Limited capacity — arrive before midnight
Zenzi is a PDC institution. Opens early for breakfast with sea views and closes in the early hours after the after-party. In between: live music almost every day (reggae, salsa, rock, jazz depending on the hour), good Caribbean food and craft cocktails. Literally with your feet in the sand facing the Caribbean. The favorite spot to end a beach day or start the night.
- Open from breakfast until the early hours
- Live music every single day
- Direct Caribbean view from the tables
- Real food — not just snacks
- Works for all ages and occasions
- Mid-to-high prices for the beachfront location
- Fills up fast in high season — reserve a table
Coralina is at the Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen but operates independently as a beach club. Large pool facing the Caribbean Sea, vibe aimed at a young and sophisticated crowd, daytime electronic music and top-notch service. The perfect place to recover from a long night or simply spend a luxury day with PDC's best views. On the pricier end of beach clubs — but worth it.
- Largest pool of the central beach clubs
- Direct Caribbean sea view
- Perfect after a big night out
- Sophisticated but not pretentious
- One of the most expensive in PDC
- Daytime only — closes at 6 pm
- Minimum spend required for entry
Mandala is the most elegant electronic music club in PDC. Two levels with Asian/Hindu decor, resident DJs with a strong selection of EDM, house and hip-hop, and well-regarded personalized table service. Cosmopolitan and sophisticated — different from Coco Bongo's show, here the music takes center stage. The Madness Tour includes Mandala along with other clubs in the area.
- Best electronic music in PDC
- Personalized and attentive table service
- Two distinct atmospheres on two levels
- Open bar available with admission
- Mainly EDM — not much genre variety
- Very high bottle prices ($200-250 USD)
