How it works
VentasPlaya recommends businesses in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya to travelers and to people moving here. If you run a business and want us to consider it, you can write to us.
First, so we do not waste your time: we do not sell positions. There is no fee to enter a ranking or to move up. If someone offers you that in our name, it is not us.
What we look for
That you are really operating. Open, with stable hours and a confirmable location.
That you bring something. We do not need another generic taco spot. We need the one that does something the others do not.
That you treat the local customer well, not only the tourist. Businesses that charge differently depending on where you are from do not get in.
That it holds up over time. We review the rankings, and if a place drops in quality, it comes off.
What we do not do
- We do not publish paid reviews.
- We do not guarantee position or permanence.
- We do not run advertorials disguised as recommendations.
- We do not accept trades (meals, stays, services) in exchange for appearing.
How to tell us you exist
Write to vive@ventasplaya.com and tell us two things:
- Your business name
- Where it is
Nothing else. We do not need your personal data, phone, documents or presentations. If we are interested, we go and see it ourselves.
This is how we work: we do not evaluate businesses by what they send us in writing, we evaluate them by showing up. A brochure says nothing about how the food is on any given Tuesday.
We do not promise a reply to everyone or review timelines.
If you already appear and something is wrong
If your business is already on the site and a detail is wrong (address, hours, something that changed), write to us and we will fix it. It is free and you will not have to ask twice.
