I came for the beach.

Not for a job, not for a business opportunity, not because "the numbers added up". I came because I had that image we all carry in our heads — waking up with the sea nearby, breathing clean air, seeing the sky without pollution, walking through the jungle. The idea that life could feel more like a vacation than an office.

That was years ago. And the beach is still there.

But there are a few things nobody tells you before you arrive.
